Company
From digital experiences to engineered systems to an illuminated ecosystem for the modern web.
We began as Axom — a creative and digital consultancy focused on delivering exceptional branding and web experiences. Over time, the work evolved far beyond traditional web design.
We found ourselves engineering complete digital ecosystems — integrating platforms, optimizing infrastructure, building intelligent systems that power modern businesses. That evolution earned us a new name: Stacklumen.
But the more we built, the clearer the pattern became. Every project taught us something worth releasing — and at some point, keeping those lessons private stopped making sense.
Years of shipping Webflow, Shopify, and custom code work built up a library of patterns, components, and hard-won methods. Clients kept asking for the same building blocks — and we kept finding new ways to package them.
What we were building wasn't just one agency. It was the foundation of an ecosystem — tools, education, and community around how the modern web actually gets made. We needed a name that could hold all of it.
The new name names the mission directly. Where Stacklumen signaled a service provider operating within the stack, Stacklumen signals something different: we illuminate it.
For small business owners, independent developers, and emerging brands trying to build on the modern web — the problem isn't a lack of tools. It's the opacity. Stacklumen exists to clear that away.
From lumen — the unit of light. A lumen measures illumination: how much visible light something actually gives off.
In naming ourselves Stacklumen, we're committing to a specific promise: clarity over clutter. Clear tools, clear documentation, clear paths for anyone building on the modern web.
"Stack" grounds us in what we work on. "Lumen" names what we bring to it.
Each name was the right one for the chapter it served — and each chapter built on the one before it. The trajectory was always toward more clarity, more reach, more value released back to the people building alongside us.
Built exceptional digital experiences for the businesses who hired us — one engagement at a time.
Branding, web design, and digital experiences that captured attention and drove engagement.
Engineered fully integrated digital systems across the modern stack — not just sites, but operations.
Platforms, infrastructure, custom code, and intelligent systems that helped businesses operate smarter and scale faster.
Illuminates the modern web stack for everyone working in it — clients, partners, and the broader community.
An ecosystem of studio work, open tools, education, and community — a platform for modern web builders to ship with clarity.
Stacklumen isn't a single product. It's an interconnected set of surfaces — each reinforcing the others. Studio work informs the tools. Tools inform the curriculum. The community shapes all of it.
The agency work that started it all, carried forward. Full-service Webflow and Shopify builds for small businesses and emerging brands — the proving ground where everything in the ecosystem gets tested first.
The tooling arm — custom code embeds, motion libraries, Shopify starters, React components. Everything we've built and relied on in client work, released for the community to build with too.
Education as a first-class product. Build docs, video walkthroughs, and the decision logs behind real client projects — teaching modern web craft with full transparency.
A gathering place for builders, owners, and teams working in the Stacklumen stack. Office hours, early access to Labs, shared patterns, and a space to ship together.
Not just beautiful websites. Not just engineered systems. An open, thoughtful ecosystem where small business owners, developers, and designers can build on the modern web with clarity. This is Stacklumen.
