We began as Axom — a creative and digital consultancy focused on delivering exceptional branding and web experiences. Over time, the work evolved far beyond traditional web design.
We found ourselves engineering complete digital ecosystems — integrating platforms, optimizing infrastructure, and building intelligent systems that power modern businesses. That evolution earned us a new name: Stackent.
But the more we built, the clearer the pattern became. Every project taught us something worth releasing — and at some point, keeping those lessons private stopped making sense.
The work was bigger than an agency
Years of shipping Webflow, Shopify, and custom code work built up a library of patterns, components, and hard-won methods. Clients kept asking for the same building blocks.
What we were building wasn't just one agency. It was the foundation of an ecosystem — tools, education, and community around how the modern web gets made. We needed a name that could hold all of it.
Stacklumen is the light of the stack
The new name names the mission directly. Where Stackent signaled a service provider operating within the stack, Stacklumen signals something different: we illuminate it.
For small business owners, independent developers, and emerging brands trying to build on the modern web — the problem isn't a lack of tools. It's the opacity. Stacklumen exists to clear that away.
From lumen — the unit of light. A lumen measures illumination, how much visible light something actually gives off.
In naming ourselves Stacklumen, we're committing to a specific promise: clarity over clutter. Clear tools, clear documentation, clear paths for anyone building on the modern web.
"Stack" grounds us in what we work on. "Lumen" names what we bring to it.
