03 / FAQ

Component questions, answered.

The things we hear most about Baselumen and SDF. Still stuck? The form above reaches a real person.

03.01 How do I use a Baselumen component?
Every component ships in two forms: a Webflow Component and framework-agnostic HTML/CSS source. Copy the form you need, drop it in, and re-skin it with the --sdf-* CSS variables. See the component docs and the SDF reference.
03.02 Can I customize a component without forking it?
Yes — that's the whole model. SDF components are themed entirely through CSS custom properties. Override --sdf-* tokens at :root, on a section, or on a single instance. No theme files, no build step, nothing fighting your brand.
03.03 How do I report a bug in a component?
Use the form above, select the affected component, and choose Bug report as the request type. Include the component version (from its .md), your browser, and clear reproduction steps. We confirm and prioritize within a business day.
03.04 Can I request a new component or variant?
Absolutely. Pick Component / variant request and describe the pattern and where you'd use it. The library grows from real demand — requests feed the roadmap.
03.05 How does versioning work when a component updates?
Each component is versioned with semver in its own .md, and library-level releases are recorded in the changelog. Because you own your copy, updates are never forced — pull a new version when it suits you.
03.06 Is this the right place for general Stacklumen support?
This page is scoped to the Baselumen component library and SDF. For engagements, billing, the client portal, or anything else, use the general support center instead.
